Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how I, the independent developer of the Nudge Me mobile application (the “App”), handle information. Nudge Me is a personal project, not a company product.
I built Nudge Me to work entirely on your device. There are no user accounts, there is no server that stores your data, and your personal information is never sold.
Summary
- The reminders you create and your settings are stored only on your device.
- I do not collect, transmit, or have access to that data.
- The only third party involved is the app store, if you make a purchase.
Information stored on your device
The App saves the following locally so your reminders persist between launches:
- Reminders you create: name, chosen icon, interval, active hours, active days, and how many sessions you’ve completed today.
- App settings: theme, Do Not Disturb, chosen language, the alarm sound you selected, and whether premium has been unlocked.
This information never leaves your device and is not accessible to me. It is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data.
Information I do NOT collect
- No name, email address, phone number, or account.
- No location data.
- No contacts, photos, or files.
- No analytics, tracking, or usage profiling.
Device permissions
The App requests certain permissions purely to deliver reminders on time, used on-device only:
- Notifications — to show reminder alarms.
- Exact alarms / scheduling — to fire reminders at the time you set.
- Full-screen intent & display over the lock screen — to show the reminder when it’s due, even if the phone is locked.
- Vibration & wake lock — so an alarm can vibrate and wake the screen.
- Run after restart — to re-schedule your reminders after the device restarts.
- Ignore battery optimizations — optional, only if you choose it, so alarms remain reliable when the App is closed.
In-app purchases
Premium (a one-time purchase that lifts the reminder limit) is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. I do not receive or store your payment details. The App only stores a local flag indicating that premium has been unlocked. Purchases are subject to the store’s own privacy policy.
Children
Nudge Me is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data retention and deletion
Because your data is stored only on your device, you control it. Delete a reminder in the App to remove it; uninstalling the App or clearing its data deletes all of the App’s stored information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or California’s CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Since I do not collect or store your personal data on any server, there is generally nothing to retrieve or delete on your behalf — your data resides on your device.
Changes to this policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. I will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App.
